Nail It

Darla L. Haught recently opened Blooming Nails, a full service nail salon, offering Gel Nails by OPI, Acrylic Nails by Creative, Fiberglass Nails by Back Scratchers and airbrushing. In a warm, comfortable, homey atmosphere you can receive a spa pedicure or spa manicure that is sure to delight. "State standard sanitary conditions are always maintained; it’s the most important thing we do," says Darla.

Darla worked many strenuous jobs over the years and remembered she always liked getting her nails done but had to drive to Pueblo for it. So she decided to attend Center Beauty College to learn the professional trade. Afterwards, she worked at Studio 909 for 6 months gaining experience before opening her own place. Darla is very excited about opening her business in Huerfano County. She comes from a long line of family members involved in the local history, from homesteading in La Veta to mining in Walsenburg. Darla is married to Thayer Haught, and together they have two children, Hehr and Drury. Darla has truly enjoyed meeting and getting reacquainted with new and old friends alike, and is looking forward to meeting more. Come down to Blooming Nails and kick off your boots to get a pedicure or just have a seat and get a nice relaxing manicure.
