The Fender family has been involved in the ranching industry for four generations with a commitment of providing quality beef products by raising cattle with careful attention and dedication. Over the years, they've

William and Francesca Fender have been perfecting the quality of grass fed beef for over ten years now, with only satisfied, repeat customers.
"We still sell burger to gourmet delis where we lived on the Western slope of Colorado. We moved to La Veta in November 2005 and love it here," says Francesca.
"We’ve cut down our herd numbers to concentrate solely on the sale of tender, flavorful, natural beef direct to the consumer, believing it's important for the buyer to know where their beef comes from and how it was raised.

"They sell 11/2 -year-old steers in whole and half sides. It's cut and wrapped to customers' specifications from a USDA inspected plant. Choose how much trim you want on the meat, how many steaks per package, how large, how thick, and the exact pound roasts you may need for your family. Also, when ordering, ask for any organs or bones for the dogs. The price for the whole or half is under $5 per pound for all your cuts and offer single or assorted cuts which run slightly higher per pound. They're taking orders for wholes and halves in September, and offer select cuts on a first-come first-serve basis for people who do not have extra freezer space. Recently, the Fenders introduced free range chickens to the ranch that are raised organically. The eggs are available for wholesale and retail on a daily basis.
